Exceptional capacity of “Saint Petka of the Spring” belongs to natural renewable resources determined by specific geological and hydrogeological characteristics of the extended area around the village Izvor.
Exploration wells proved that karst aquifer cover is located in carbon complex in lower layers of Neogene sediments, so that the underground water outflows from deeper parts of the karst aquifer, providing high accumulation and stable dynamic level of the capacity of 25 l/sec.
Expert opinions on chemical, physical, bacteriological and radioactive properties and the overall quality of the natural low-mineral spring from the well “St. Petka of the Spring” showed that this water is of excellent quality, and that is meets all prescribed requirements for bottling and daily use.
